Ingredients:
White Sorghum Rava (Jowar Rava) is made from White Sorghum millet, cleaned and broken into semolina form. It is a healthy alternative to wheat rava/sooji, rich in dietary fiber, protein, iron, and minerals. Being gluten-free and low in glycemic index, it is good for diabetics, weight management, and digestion. It can be used to prepare upma, idli, dosa, kichdi, and sweets just like regular rava.
Recipe :
Millet Upma – Roast 1 cup millet rava, keep aside. In a pan, sauté mustard, curry leaves, onion, green chilli, and ginger. Add 5 cups water, salt, and bring to boil. Slowly add rava, cook 5–6 mins till soft and fluffy. ✅ Healthy & ready in 15 mins.
Millet Kesari – Roast 1 cup millet rava in ghee until aromatic, boil 5 cups water with saffron or food color, add roasted rava slowly while stirring, then mix in ¾ cup jaggery or sugar, cook till soft and ghee leaves the sides, finally add roasted cashews, raisins, cardamom powder and serve warm.
